Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink is a really touching book. It's about 2 twin sisters that are involved in a prophecy that will change their lives. One is good and one is evil. In this book Lia is the good one she is also the gate. Alice is the bad one and she's the guardian. This prophecy changes their lives. They have to end, Samuel the angel from crossing to the human plane. Lia is to find the 4 keys and she's powerful than Alice. However Alice is evil she would not let that happen, Samuel has summon her and she is to kill Lia. The end to this book is a mystery there's a second book to this. Who will win would Lia be strong enough and find the 4 keys to open the gate and fight Samuel? Or will Alice be powerful enough to be on Samuels side? Lias father found the 2 keys before he died. She needs the 2 other keys.
In this book I have noticed that there's a lot of fighting between siblings and jealousy . It's pretty obvious, since one is good and one evil. A brief example from the book is when Alice tries to steal the book(the one who tells the prophecy) of Lia. Alice is also desperate, she's selfish and wants the bad instead of good. Lia also doesn't communicate with her like the used to they are enemies and want the best for them. When Alice also kills Henry(there brother) just for the list. This is cruel she only killed him for the list and she still didn't get what she wanted.
Prophecy of the sisters, is most of a prophecy however, it also shows the difficult ways siblings don't get along, like fighting, jealousy, etc... Lia and Alice have it different, because they actually have to fight for the it, one will die and one will live. Neither of them want to die. So they have to separate each other and be enemies, they can't work in this together, it's a challenge between them and the prophecy.

Argument Essay
Teen fiction books are darker SO... We should the right to read whatever book we want even if it's too dark, fantasy,non-fiction, etc... Why are adults banning our lovely books that we enjoy reading? It's not like we're going to do the same thing the character does in the book. We won't just read a dark hunting book and then go slice our bellies noooo. How would we know what's going on in the world? In order for us to know what's going on in the world, there's these wonderful books that are supposedly giving us"cruel" examples of life.Adults do not understand.
Meghan Cox Gurdon gives an example of he book "Rage" by Jackie Morse," she had slice her arms to ribbons, but the badness remained, stunning her insides like cancer, she had gouge her belly until it was a mess of meat and blood, but she still couldn't breathe." Really? Gurdon gives an extremely stomach-clenching (as she would say to the reader). She only wants the reader to have a harsh idea of YA books Gurdon , even admits that, "reading about a homocide doesn't turn a man into a murder, reading about cheating on exams won't make a kid break the honor code." This briefly means that a young adult wouldn't slice his arms or gouge his belly. Just by reading this book.
To add on, even librarians and booksellers agree that YA books are dark, however they have values in which gives a brief examples of what's going on their lives. Why the best books are written in blood by Sherman Alexie, states," I write books for teenagers because I vividly remember what it felt like to be a teen facing everyday and epic dangers." This explains why Alexie writes in blood because he cares about teens that are dealing with harsh situations, and since he went through the same thing when he was a teen he wants to teach the reader something that would help him face his problem. But not only face his problems by suiciding or cutting himself. He writes in blood give ideas that will help them fight the monster.
Overall banning books would not help the situation, because we love our books and we don't want adults taking them away. It's not fair and it's also not fair for teens who are actually dealing with a problem and not to have something to help him/her because him/her will not have a book to read about their problems because adults are banning the books. Adults banning our books should think about it. We also enjoy reading our dark books even if we are not dealing with it because we want to learn what oh her teens are dealing with at this time.
